iRidium for AV & Custom Systems
the package of tools for setting up equipment which is not included in the standard iRidium database: all Audio/Video equipment, format converters and any other elements of automation systems.
The AV & Custom Systems driver enables sending of any commands in any format (ASCII, HEX, DEC) using any type of transport for it (TCP, UDP, HTTP, RS232). 2-way communication with AV equipment is performed with the help of ready-made modules and iRidium Script.

Capabilities

iRidium for AV & Custom Systems (Audio-Video, converters and elements of automation systems) allows you to control any equipment with СОМ-port (RS232). The control is performed through format converters which receive commands via IP and send them to the target equipment via СОМ-ports. This way of control provides maximum flexibility of the system due to the possibility of wireless connection (format converters with Wi-Fi modules), simultaneous control from several panels and work via the Internet.

The most complete integration with iRidium is accomplished with converter from TCP to RS232 of the Global Cache company (iTach WF2SL, iTach IP2SL или GC-100-06, GC-100-12).

Global Cache converters controlled by iRidium, provide the following advantages when communicating with equipment via RS232:

  • Ready modules of Global Cache converters in iRidium data base (it is necessary to set up only the IP-address of the converter. It is possible to receive feedback via RS232 and system data from the converter)
  • Wireless connection via Wi-Fi allows you to avoid installing additional wires for communication with RS232 controlled equipment (iTach WF2SL)
  • Simultaneous connection of several control panels to one iTach converter
  • Controlling Global Cache converters via the Internet
